Ace arrived in Australia Dec 2018, his breeding reflects predominantly line bred British dogs.

This was a long planned mating between Red and the very best retrieving girl in NZ, his Mother "Bint" is a superstar, who holds the title of Grand Field Trial Champion. A very evenly bred dog that is an exceptional marker and has great game finding ability. By breeding these two dogs this has resulted in producing a quality line bred litter of similar style working pups.

Ace is a magnificently built dog, great conformation with a hip score of 2/3 and elbows 0/0.

He is a proven dog and is available for stud to approved bitches, both live, chilled, or frozen.

Ace has developed into a very smart confident young Labrador. He has a great understanding of all basic commands, he's attentive, super keen to learn and absolutely loves to retrieve.

His foundational yard work is now complete. He has an excellent understanding of concepts, stops well, takes casts and above all else is a fantastic marking and hunting dog. He tries very hard in all he does, very honest genuine.

All his health tests are complete, we have used him at stud twice to two of my dogs. The pups have all been in excellent health with lovely bone structure and nice shaped heads. I am really pleased with his confidence and temperament he just wants to be everyone's mate but when work is to be done he becomes business like, attentive with complete concentration.

Ace is very much like his father, confident, focused, honest, has a very calm demeanour.

Ace got off to a great start in Queensland 2020, this was his first trial of the year which he went on to win, he scored maximum on two of the runs and finished on 185 points only dropping a total of ten points.

Due to Covid we did not compete again that year.

2021 News: Ace ran his first trial of the year with the Labrador Retriever Club of Queensland he did not disappoint. Competed in both Restricted and All Age for the very first time, placed 2nd in All Age, great effort for such a young dog.

Ace ran in his 2nd All Age at Bundeburg and backed his first place in All Age with a further 2nd placing,  (only beaten by 1 point). The following day he won.. three placings from three starts.

April 2021, we did some consolidation training and worked on extending his understanding of concepts and handling. This paid dividends when we travelled to NSW to compete in the LRC Trial at Liddletons. Ace finished on the Saturday but did not place in the awards, the field consisted of several very good quality trained dogs. The following day Ace came out firing on all cylinders and opened his book with a triple mark. The competition was presented by one of the most senior judges in Australian Trials. It was a very difficult competition, we lost the majority of dogs through out the day on the first two runs. With only five dogs going into the last run and only four dogs to finish. We were tested in all aspects of retriever trialling, Ace had a blast on the first two runs. The third and final run was a struggle in parts but he finished well, Ace was awarded 1st and received the 2nd set of points required to title him as a Retriever Champion, the youngest in Australia, at just 30 months of age.
