ABOUT THE DOG

FTCH Brackenbird Minnow: "Noah"

A few years back, I had the opportunity to obtain some overseas semen from an outstanding dog I had also competed against while residing in England.

Our good friend Robin Watson owned and handled Noah. I clearly remember competing against him in my first open trial, where I was impressed by the dog's natural talent for locating game and his instinctive hunting pattern. Robin would send him after an unseen bird, and Noah had an incredible ability to figure things out as he approached the area, switching his nose and emerging from cover with a bird.

Needless to say, he won the trial that day. I recall speaking with Robin, who mentioned how easy it was to train Noah, saying, "he was so easy to train I couldn't remember training him."

Gentle-natured and supremely confident, he was likely the best game-finding dog on the UK circuit at the time.

Robin entered Noah in just nine open trials, and Noah placed in eight of them. This was an impressive feat, as he earned his FTCH title by winning a two-day open trial on one of the UK's toughest grounds, under bitterly cold and dark conditions with poor scent conditions. You can see Noah competing and winning that trial on YouTube.

I believe I am one of the few remaining individuals who owns any of Noah's semen. We are thrilled to have high-quality females to incorporate this exceptional British dog into our Redcypher breeding program, which will produce a highly sought-after litter.
