Having developed our kennel over the last thirty eight years, we have expanded our breeding program to incorporate and specialise in scent detection work due to professional demand.
All parents are screened and do have all relevant health checks in place, my breeding stock is sound both physically and mentally.
2025 Breeding
2025 we have two litters planned, around July of this year.
The 1st litter planned will be with Lady and Red my old stud dog who has now sadly passed. This is a repeat breeding. The litter will be dark tan through to dark Red. This will be a highly trainable litter with both parents having great health scores they'll be very smart dogs, and very easy to live with. This will be a Fox Red Litter only.
We also have a second litter planned with Tsu La. This will be her first litter. We have chosen FTCH Brackenbird Minnow. This litter will be Yellow through to dark fox red.
Providing both girls come into season on time, we will be aiming to mate them in May!
REDCYPHER BREEDING PROGRAM
All puppies are socialised from an early age with other dogs and daily experiences they may encounter throughout their transition from puppyhood to adulthood.
They are conditioned to mealtimes, and toilet training begins as soon as they are weaned, alongside crate training. The puppies are introduced to various farm animals and engage in human socialisation through small trips to town, which helps them acclimate to travel.
Extra training is provided, as one would expect for any working retriever, including exposure to various noises and ground surfaces, as well as conditioned gunfire during mealtimes, paddling in water, and real game to encourage the early development of prey drive.
